Other Broadband Efforts

LinkWISCONSIN seeks to identify and work with new and existing projects that share our goal. If you are aware of other local, regional or statewide broadband projects working to foster access and/or adoption of broadband, please e-mail the LinkWISCONSIN Team. Projects will be listed below upon approval by the program's management. Be sure to include:

  • Project name
  • Brief description of the project (one or two sentence summary)
  • Project website address
  • Whether the project is "local" (please list county/municipality); "regional" (please state which LinkWISCONSIN planning region(s) the project falls within); or "statewide"

  • WiscNet

    WiscNet is a non-profit association chartered to foster education, research, and public service among public and private organizations in Wisconsin. WiscNet provides high-speed digital communications, including network access and supporting services. Members include the University of Wisconsin System, the Wisconsin Technical College System, private colleges, school districts, libraries, local and state government, and public service and related agencies.
  • University of Wisconsin-Extension

    Building Community Capacity through Broadband (BCCB) is the Wisconsin initiative connecting people to broadband technologies through sustainable public-private partnerships and Community Area Networks (CANs). Our vision is to build stronger communities by connecting people with ideas, resources and technology, leading the nation in building sustainable regional technology partnerships.

    Project covers specific communities within LinkWISCONSIN planning regions 1, 3, 4 and 7, as well as the Menominee Nation.
